Executive Director
Christine Pennington
Christine Pennington is an educator, author, and consultant with over twenty years of experience in public and private education. With a background in special education, counseling, and trauma-informed care, she is deeply committed to strengthening families and supporting the emotional well-being of children and youth.

Board Chair
Paul Nichols
​Paul Nichols is a retired Superintendent of Mecklenburg County Public Schools with more than 40 years of experience in education. A Mecklenburg County native, he has dedicated his career to strengthening schools and expanding opportunities for students through collaboration with families, educators, and community leaders.

Beverly Chestnutt
Beverly Chestnutt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience supporting children, youth, and families through clinical services, education, and community programs. Throughout her career, she has worked in child welfare, behavioral health, and school settings, and remains committed to strengthening family well-being and supporting youth in her community.

Brian Holt
Brian Holt has a diverse professional background in finance, media production, and creative industries, including work in television, film, and recording studios across the country. Now based in Chase City, Virginia, he continues developing family-focused media projects while enjoying life on his farm with his wife.

Barbara Riggins
Barbara Riggins has more than 30 years of experience in social services supporting individuals and improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations. As President of Riggins Residential, she has helped provide safe, supportive homes and meaningful programming for adults with intellectual disabilities across Virginia.
